Looking After Your Resin
Regular Cleaning
Resin-bound surfaces are generally low-maintenance. Regularly sweeping away leaves, dirt and debris will help prevent staining and keep the surface looking fresh.
- Use a soft or medium-bristle brush.
- Rinse with clean water when needed.
- Use a mild, suitable detergent for dirt.
- Remove leaves and organic debris regularly.
Pressure Washing
Gentle pressure washing can help remove stubborn dirt, but excessive pressure may damage the resin or loosen stones.
- Use a low-pressure setting.
- Keep the nozzle moving and at a safe distance.
- Avoid concentrated jets or turbo nozzles.
- Never pressure wash uncured resin.
Stains & Spills
Deal with spills as soon as possible to reduce the chance of permanent staining.
- Blot up oil and other spills promptly.
- Use mild detergent and warm water.
- Rinse thoroughly after cleaning.
- Avoid harsh chemicals and strong solvents.
Winter Care
During colder months, take care when removing snow and ice from your resin surface.
- Use a plastic shovel or soft brush.
- Avoid metal scrapers and sharp tools.
- Don't chip or strike frozen areas.
- Ask us before applying chemical de-icers.
Protecting Your Surface
Although resin-bound surfaces are durable, concentrated weight, sharp objects and dragging heavy items can cause damage.
- Lift heavy planters instead of dragging them.
- Use protective pads under concentrated loads.
- Avoid dropping heavy or sharp equipment.
- Only use the surface for its intended purpose.
Long-Term Maintenance
Keeping your resin clean and checking for changes will help maintain its appearance and condition over time.
- Clear moss, algae and debris early.
- Keep surrounding drainage clear.
- Check for cracks or movement.
- Contact us if repairs or resealing are needed.
